PURPOSE:To generate new sewing form in multiple rows simultaneously by folding an entangling thread upon allowing it to contact from outside to the stitches in the position corresponding to two specified sewing rows, and reciprocating this entangling thread in a horizontal plane, while a slide is moved interlocking with the vertical sewing motions of needles, so that entanglement is accomplished zigzagged between two sewing rows. CONSTITUTION:First stitches 72a, 72a of sewing passes 74a, 74b are formed in the condition that a slide plate 39 is moved left. Then, this slide plate 39 is moved right, and an entangling thread 56 is entangled with the stitch of the sewing pass 74b. At the same time, stitches 72b, 72b are formed, and the slide plate 39 is moved left, and the entangling thread 56 is entangled with the stitch 72b of the sewing pass 74a. Further, stitches 72c, 72c are formed, and the slide plate 39 is moved right, and the entangling thread 56 is entangled with the stitch 72c of the sewing pass 74b. Thus, the entangling thread 56 can be entangled zigzagged with these stitches through vertical motion of needles 20... and reciprocating to the left and right of the slide plate 39.
