PURPOSE:To stimulate the rooting of a seedling after transplanted by preventing the roots of a seedling elongated in a rootelongating chamber during its raising period from being cut when the seedling is transplanted in a main field, and to improve the initial growth of the seedling. CONSTITUTION:Many octagonal seedling pots 1 formed of thin films such as paper sheets are connectedly disposed in the state capable of being folded or opened, and the adhered parts on both the ends of thin films are projected on the outsides of each seedling-raising pot. Adhesive parts 9 and non-adhesive parts 8 are alternately disposed in the adhered parts, and further the four adjacent seedling-raising pots are arranged to form a square root-elongating section 7. The adhered parts are projected in the root-elongating section. Further, the adhesive parts 9 of the adhered parts are adhered to each other with a water-soluble adhesive 2, and the seedling-raising pots are adhered to each other with a water-soluble adhesive 5. The seedling-raising pots 6 are opened, and soil is packed in all of the seedling-raising pots and the root- elongating chambers. Seeds are sowed only in the respective seedling-raising pots, and the roots of the seedings are elongated into the root-elongating chambers through the non-adhered parts of the adhered parts.
