ARTIFICIAL GROUND IMPROVING WORK FOR TUNNEL EXCAVATION BY SHIELD WORK

PURPOSE:To perform excavation of tunnel economically by a method in which a slurried hardening agent prepared by mixing cement, fine particle bulk filler such as clay sand, etc., and water is infected into artificial sandy ground with stirring to solidify the ground to a low hardness degree. CONSTITUTION:Water 17, cement 18, and bulk filler 19, e.g., clay sand, flyash, etc., are each weighed by weighers 20a, 20b, and 20c and charged into a slurry mixer 21. The hardener mixture is agitated in an agitator 22 and sent into an improving machine 12 through a weigher 24 by a pump 23 and the tip of an injecting and stirring bar 14 is penetrated into an artificial ground 4 while turning the bar 14. The hardener mixture is mixed with soil with stirring while being injected.
