UNITED CONTROL SYSTEM FOR IMAGE INFORMATION COMMUNICATION AND CHARACTER INFORMATION COMMUNICATION

摘要

PURPOSE: To receive the service of both the image information communication and character information communication through one videotex terminal by providing a protocol conversion processing mechanism in an information processor. ;CONSTITUTION: The system consists of the information processor 1, a data communication line 7, and a terminal group 8. An image information communication processing mechanism 2, a character information communication processing mechanism 4, and the protocol conversion processing mechanism 3 are provided in the information processor 1. Further, the terminal group 8 consists of an image information communication terminal 9 (videotex terminal) and a character information communication terminal 10 (personal computer communication terminal). The videotex terminal 9 is connected to the information processor 1 through the data communication line 7 and performs transmission and reception in protocol data units for the image information communication, e.g. (CAPTAIN(Character And Pattern Telephone Access Information Network) PLPS) to retrieve image information in an image information data base 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
