PURPOSE: To radiate the heat of cooling liquid in a jacket from a cylinder block by forming cooling air passages below the inner bottom parts of an intercylinder liquid-cooled jacket and a cylinder flank liquid-cooled jacket. ;CONSTITUTION: An intercylinder cooling air passage 10 is formed below the inner bottom part of an intercylinder liquid-cooled jacket 5 and a cylinder flank cooling air passage 11 is formed below the inner bottom part of a cylinder flank liquid-cooled jacket 8. In this constitution, the heat of cooling liquid in both liquid-cooled jackets 5 and 8 is radiated through the bottom walls of both liquid-cooled jackets 5 and 8 to cooling air flowing through both cooling air passages 10 and 11, resulting in reduction of the size of a radiator 9.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
