PURPOSE: To improve design by successively laminating a release layer, a china-painting layer, a colored layer for opacifying and an adhesive layer to a polyester sheet. ;CONSTITUTION: A vehicle of a methacrylic acid-based resin to sublime by heating is blended with heat-resistant pigment and an inorganic component to prepare printing ink. Then a polyester sheet 2 is provided with a release layer 3 using an acrylic resin, a china-painting layer 4 using the prepared printing ink, a colored layer 5 for opacifying corresponding to pigment having 10-30μm thickness and an adhesive layer 6 composed of acrylic acid ester having 1-10μm thickness by successive gravure printing to form a transfer sheet 1 for ground china-painting. The transfer sheet is used, the adhesive layer 6 is opposingly superimposed to the surface of ceramics substrate of unglazed pottery and the polyester sheet 2 is released. After the china-painting layer 4, etc., are transferred to the ceramics substrate side, the ceramics substrate is heated to 400-600°C, a resin component is completely sublimated, burnt or thermally decomposed, then glazed and burnt at ≥800°C to give a ceramics article with china-painting.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
