SEED CRYSTAL HOLDER FOR DEVICE FOR PULLING SINGLE CRYSTAL IN APPLIED MAGNETIC FIELD

摘要

PURPOSE: To make a single crystal free from restriction on rotation even when a magnetic field having high intensity is applied and to attain high accurately stable rotation by forming a seed crystal holder with an electric nonconductive material such as high purity alumina-based ceramics. ;CONSTITUTION: Molybdenum pins 4, 5 are fitted to the connection between a seed crystal holder 1 and a pulling wire 2 and the connection between the holder 1 and a seed crystal 3. The holder 1 is formed with an electric nonconductive material based on high purity alumina-based ceramics consisting of 85-99% Al₂O₃ and 1-15% SiO₂ and contg. 0.2-10% MgO and/or 0.1-15.0% Zr₂O₃. The holder 1 may be coated with an electric conductive coating film 6 of platinum, etc., if necessary so as to prevent a reaction with the material of the crystal or contamination.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
