Use of tryptophan which can be assimilated by the brain, as a productexercising an activity against the mechanisms of substance addiction, such astobacco or alcohol, during an alcohol and/or tobacco detox programme and useof assimilated tryptophan in preparing a nutritional formulation, rich intryptophan, designed to accompany the detox programme.
