The upright massecuite crystalliser, comprising a tubular body filled with tubular heat exchange segments arranged along the height and a rotary mixer with stirring blades attached on a shaft at the height of the chambers formed between consecutive heat exchange segments, consisting in that it has tubular heat exchange segments (7) made up of two parallel tubular spirals, a centripetal one (10) and a centrifugal one (9), connected with each other by an axial link (11) into one sequence, the spirals (9) and (10) being placed in relation to each other in such a way that in the vertical projection the tubes of one spiral (9) or (10) lay in the clearance between the tubes of the other spiral (10) or (9).IMAGE
