Bone-shaped dog food and process for its preparation

A sausage consisting of a cereal-based outer casing and an inner filling is produced by cooking/coextrusion. Then, while the outer casing is still thermoplastic, the sausage is cut up and moulded to form the bone. In this way, bone-shaped dog food is obtained which consists of a cereal-based outer casing 1, and of an inner filling (2). IMAGE
