The credit card identifier equips a semiconductor memory IC, containing the bad credit card numbers which is renewed regularly by the telephone or computer so that the identification of the credit is performed easily and quickly at low cost. The identifier comprises an one chip microcomputer (8) containing the system operation softwave, the first and second memory banks (9,10) storing the fixed and variable information, a black box (20) storing the ID numbers of the credit cards, a magnetic card reader (12) reading the information stored on the magnetic stripe of the credit card, a comparator (14) comparing the read and stored information, and a telecommunication module (16) receiving the renewal data to the data bank of the card company.
