Ring spinning frame with rovings fed from creel to spinning positions without mutual contact - has roving bobbin creel which automatically selects guide for two rovings and reserve which are prevented from rubbing against each other
Frame has an overhead creel with roving bobbins suspended and bracket for each spinning position at right angles to the frame. On each bracket at least three roving bobbins supply two spinning positions, so that there is always a reserve. Supply of material from each bobbon is guided to the working positions by a three tier arrangement, with the rovings offset at an angle from the general direction. There are a series of spinning positions along a frame in the direction (M). Brackets have an arm to support at least three roving bobbins of which the nearest to the frame is arranged to have approx. half the quantity on it relative to the following bobbin. Roving enters the guide at an angle which automatically selects one of the grooves to turn it towards the working position. As a new full roving bobbin is brought to the creel, the material is guided into the lower groove and held in the reserve position to be taken over when the empty moves away. As the bobbins move along the creel bracket, the angle of feed lifts it into the higher groove of the guide unit and this is constructed with an angle which is offset from the general axis. Guide is held to the frame at one side only by the spindle. ADVANTAGE - Rovings are fed from the creel down to the spinning positions, without touching each other. Sepn. prevents catching and ensures that thick and thin places are not created.
