The trombone has its main tube (2) connected to an intermediate piece (4) by two cross-members (7). The main tube (2) and intermediate piece (4) each have tubular extensions (5,6) which receive the U-shaped fine tuner (3). The fine tuner (3) is attached to the instrument by a circular balance weight (9) which has two diametrically opposite screwed bushes which receive screwed bolts (10,11) extending from the instrument and the tuner respectively. The instrument is tuned by rotating the balance weight (9) which adjusts the position of the tuner (3). The balance weight also makes it easier for the player to hold the instrument. USE - Trombones.
