The demountable struts are used on legs(2) which may be made of square section tube. They are composed of an L-shaped section(11) placed over the external corner of the leg. To the arms of the L-section projecting past the legs, struts(6,7) are connected by bolted(31) swivel joints(21). The struts(6,7) may be made of square-section tube. The ends of the struts remote from the swivel joints are fitted with L-shaped members(34) forming tongs(36) with holes(35) to accommodate bolts.
