The appts. for monitoring and displaying different levels for different operating states of a mechine is able to show the level for a defined reference state, i.e. under load, irrespective of each actual state, e.g. at rest, idling or under load. The actual level value is displayed during the reference or under load state. Level changes occurring when the operating state changes are measured and stored. In order to display the level for the reference state when in another state, the last measured level change is taken into account as a correction of the current value. USE/ADVANTAGE - For monitoring level in oil reservoir of working machine e.g. compressor. Measures level even when operating conditions and corresp. level are changing rapidly.
