Facade wall/roof composed of metal and glass as glazed metal frame of main and crossbars with screwed cover profiles to close off the glazing panes at their edges. Bars and profiles are all grooved out to anchor pane-edge sealing strips composed of an anchoring part in the groove and a sealing part bearing on the glazing. Main and crossbars are also troughed out for condensation water and the crossbar bottoms rest on the top edges of the main bar anchoring grooves. Each crossbar (4) should be so joined to the main bar (1) that the main bar sealing strip (3) is excised lengthways. The endface of the sealing part of the strip bears on the side of the crossbar such that the lateral seal between them is completed by contact pressure. The main bar sealing strip (3) should be cut away outside the anchoring groove (2) so that the top edge of the remaining strip lies over the edge of the groove (2). USE/ADVANTAGE - For building structures,with simple design of abutments between the struts and main profiles.
