A metal mesh of reinforcing wire crossing at right angles to one another forms a matting layer (1). This matting is laid at the corners of the wall opening, with a section removed (9) to match the corner. The surface screed is then laid over the matting. USE/ADVANTAGE - Prevents diagonal cracks radiating out from the corner openings in walls.
