Current generator and transformer with a radioactive sec. winding is constructed with a generator winding and a sec. winding made from one of the following: (i) radioactive Co 60 with polyimide (Kapton, RTM) insulation on the Co 60 wire (Co t0 = Beta- 1.478 MeV and Gamma 1.33 MeV), (ii) radioactive Rb 87 with polyimide (Kapton, RTM) insulation on the Rb 87 wire (Rb 87 = Beta- 0.275 MeV), (iii) radioactive Eu 154 with polyimide (Kapton, RTM) insulation on the Eu 154 wire (Eu 154 = Beta- 1.84 Mev, Gamma 1.6 MeV), (iv) radioactive Pd 107 with polyimide (Kapton, RTM) insulation on the Pd 107 wire (Pd 107 = Beta- 0.04 MeV), or (v) radioactive Tc 99 with polyimide (Kapton, RTM) insulation on the Tc 99 wire (Tc 99 = Beta- 0.292 MeV). USE/ADVANTAGE - The transformers can be used to generate electrical direct current, alternating current and high frequency energy with novel properties related to the specific radioactive material used and useful e.g. in space travel technology, propulsion technology and high frequency technology.
