Fixing for securing insulation material to roof rafters - has plate supported on enlarged section of threaded shaft, to spread lead over insulation material

The fixing is driven through the insulation layer and secured into the underlying roof rafters. To hold the insulation in position, as it is a weak material liable to damage, the securing load is spread by a plate (7). The plate is secured to the fixing shaft (1) by stop (4) formed out of increased diameter section of the shaft which has been multi-start threaded. USE/ADVANTAGE - Secures insulation to rafters without damage to material.
