The telemetering system identifies untethered animals are identified unambiguously and e.g. their body temps. and pulse rates transmitted over distances of centimetres to hundreds of metres from the transponder implanted into each animal for wireless transmission to a stationary processor. The transponder incorporates a tapped coil wound on a ferromagnetic core in a reactance circuit which resonates alternately at two frequencies for reception of HF energy from a generator and for transmission of the HF modulated signal. USE - In animal-feeding on demand with automatic medication, process control in foodstuff and pharmaceutical industries, and monitoring of ovulation for animal-breeding purposes.
