The cage is supported axially outwards only by an axially restricted annular region (18) on the opening side of the cavity (17) in the outer part. The cage (3) is mounted at a distance from the inner face of the outer joint part (1) and from the outer face of the inner joint part (2). The annular region can be formed by wedges (7) welded between the outer grooves (10) on the outer part under the pressure which is directed inwards during fitting of the joint. USE/ADVANTAGE - For clutches and brakes,without need to machine any inner faces,with reduced friction and heat generation.
