Guide roll arrangement for coating strip or wire in a metal melt bath, comprising a hollow sealed guide roll (1) running in the melt bath and journalled on carrier arms (10) on each side. the guide roll (1) runs on roller bearings (7) which are heat, corrosion and wear resistant corresponding to the melt bath conditions. The roller bearing inner rings (13) are mounted on trunnion pins (8) attached to the carrier arms (10) and are wider than the outer bearing rings (14). Covers (6) on the bearing housings (5) are formed with an annular gap (12) for the passage of molten metal.
