The invention relates to a method and a device for elution of granular material to be washed, in particular soil polluted by oil and the like. Whereas known washing devices, because of multiple changes of the washing agent, require considerable quantities of water, which itself becomes significantly contaminated as a result of the treatment, where further and significant effort is required for the movement of the soil during the washing treatment, the invention proposes an improvement in the method of treatment and in the treatment results, by forming a fluidised bed by feeding water (10) and air (11) into a chamber (1) containing the soil, the efficiency of which is further increased by the addition of detergents, with the proviso that pollutants can be removed with the foam that forms.
