The invention relates to a device for controlling the flow of liquids, essentially comprising a permanent magnet (2) and an electromagnetic commutator (switch) (3), both arranged on either side of the outside of a pipe (1) in which a stainless steel ball (4) is placed, movable between two constrictions (5) and (6) made in the pipe (1), the displacement of which results from the flow of the liquid in the direction of the arrows. When the ball is between the magnet (2) and the commutator (3), connection is made between the latter, for controlling at will any passage of liquid by opening or closing the corresponding control circuit. The device is particularly applicable to a W.C. cistern in order to control its filling and emptying. IMAGE
