An aluminosilicate gel containing an ST structuring agent is prepared and having a composition suitable for crystallizing into a zeolite of the structural family of faujasite, then said gel is subjected to crystallization to form a precursor of the zeolite consisting of said zeolite containing the structuring agent ST in its cavities and channels and the zeolite is produced by calcination of said precursor. The structuring agent ST consists of at least one compound chosen from polyalkylene oxides of formula BR/ (CF DRAWING IN BOPI) BR/ BR/ in which R and R ', identical or different, represent each H or a C1 to C4 alkyl radical, X denotes H or OH, m is equal to 2 or 3 and may be different from one unit to another and n is a number greater than 12 and preferably between 25 and 800. The zeolites obtained exhibit an Si: Al ratio greater than 1 and which may exceed 3 and have cubic symmetry. These zeolites can be used, directly or after cation exchange, as adsorbents or as catalyst components.
