10-substituted ether derivatives of 3, 12-Epoxy-3,4, 5 5a. alpha., 6,7,8,8a,9,10,12, 12a-dodecahydro-10-hydroxy- 3, 6,9-trimethylpyano-(4,3-j) (1,2) benzodioxepin, also known as Dihydroartemisinin or Dihydroquinghaosu (DHQ), pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, processes for their preparation and their use as chemotherapeutics against protozoal infections are provided.
