PRODUCTION OF TITANIUM ALLOY SHEET FOR GOLF DRIVER HEAD

摘要

PURPOSE: To maintain the flatness of a steel sheet without generating the problem of curling and to execute dehydrogeneraion at the time of producing a titanium alloy thin sheet having a specified compsn. for a golf driver head. ;CONSTITUTION: A titanium alloy for a golf driver head having a compsn. contg., by weight, 10 to 25% vanadium and, as necessary, contg. one or ≥ two kinds selected from 2 to 5% aluminum, 2 to 5% chromium and 2 to 4% tin, and the balance iron with inevitable impurities is produced. The titanium allay cold rolled coil is cut into a titanium alloy sheet, and in a state of the sheet, it is thereafter subjected to heat treatment for entering into solid solution and dehydrogeneration at the transformation point of the titanium alloy or above to ≤850°C.
