RETRIEVAL SYSTEM IN ELECTRONIC BOOK AND ELECTRONIC BOOK PLAYER

PURPOSE:To provide the retrieval system of an electronic book and an electronic book player in which a homonym may not be replied as a retrieval result. CONSTITUTION:In an electronic book, a KANA (Japanese syllabary)-KANJI (Chinese character) conversion dictionary for converting the character code of a KANA character into the character code of a KANJI appearing in an index is recorded with the index and the text. In an electronic book player, after the code corresponding to the KANA character is converted into the character code of a KANJI by using the KANA-KANJI conversion dictionary recorded in the electronic book, a retrieval is performed by the character code of this KANJI.
