INDIVIDUAL DICTIONARY GENERATING METHOD FOR CHARACTER RECOGNIZING DEVICE

PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for user's special operation for the generation of an individual dictionary and to prevent the font of the individual dictionary from being partial when the individual dictionary of the character recognizing device is generated. ;CONSTITUTION: The character recognizing device reads a slip for which a character kind to be added is entered by a red document input part 11, and extracts features by a recognizing process part 12 and then stores the extracted feature data in a feature data storage part 21. Then (n) feature data are selected among plural stored data to generate the individual dictionary, which is added to a prepared dictionary. When this process is performed, a read character image is preserved in a character image storage part 26 and then when features of character are changed, an individual dictionary for a character kind or font to be added can be generated by using the preserved character image without reading the slip newly.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
