PRODUCTION OF VESICULAR-ARBUSCULAR MYCORRHIZAL FUNGAL INOCULUM

PURPOSE: To prevent vesicular-arbuscular (VA) mycorrhizal fungi of soil, pathogenic fungi, etc., from mixing therein by using a calcined attapulgite or a mature of the calcined attapulgite with calcined soil as a granulated red soil as a substrate. ;CONSTITUTION: A plant infected with VA mycorrhizal fungi is cultivated by using calcined attapulgite or a mixture of the calcined attapulgite with calcined granulated red soil as a substrate. The pure VA mycorrhizal fungi, infecting the plant and belonging to the genus Gigaspora are proliferated to afford the objective readily handleable VA mycorrhizal fungal inoculum having a high spore density.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
