PURPOSE: To reduce cost, improve sensitivity, and enlarge watching range. ;CONSTITUTION: In the detector for detecting radiating infrared rays by constituting a thermistor bridge circuit with at least four thermistors among A₁, A₂, B₁, B₂, C₁, C₂, D₁, and D₂ formed on thermally insulated thin film 102 on a semiconductor substrate, one set of thermistors where the opposing sides of a thermistor bridge circuit are in one se are thermistors B₁, B₂, C₁, and C₂ for detection and at the same time the thermistors in the other set are thermistors A₁, A₂, D₁, and D₂ for compensation and then the semiconductor substrate directly below the thermistor for detection is eliminated except the thermally insulated thin film.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
