ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREDiffuser comprising a cylindrical body inside whicha helical section is provided. At the base and at the top,a sparger and a distributor respectively are foreseen.Preferably a second sparger is foreseen at the top, aroundthe distributor. Each sparger consists of a hopper havingthe major base provided with tongues that radially depart fromits periphery. Distributor comprises a truncated-cone portionhaving the minor base made up of a conical element, openingsbeing provided both in the conical element and in the lateralsurface of the hopper. The diffuser is fixed to a suitablesupport by means of tie rods held on the protruding edge ofthe upper sparger.
