Quenching equipment for parts, esp. for hardening, with parts conveyor in a quench tank and a pumped circulation of the quench medium within a quenching chamber mainly upwards through the openings in the parts conveyor. The parts are conveyed through the quench chamber (11) above the level of the quench bath and the quench medium is pumped through a vertical channel (25) to pass up through the openings in the conveyor (15) and flow round the parts for quenching. USE/ADVANTAGE - For quenching parts, esp. for hardening, and provides effective agitation of the quench bath for highly uniform quenching and absence of distortion.
