The device has a water jet pump (10) in a pipe section between tap valve (8) and mixer valve (6) of the low pressure mixer tap (2). In the suction section, the pump is directly connected via an aperture (11) to a water retaining chamber (12), which is open to the atmosphere. The chamber is formed by the overflow of the mixer tap. The tap also contains a tube (14), which is in connection with the atmosphere. The tube is connected to the warm water pipe (5) of the tank (1), and to the cold water feed (4) regulated by the mixer valve. The pump aperture is closed by a valve, when the water level within the retaining chamber has reached a lower limit. USE/ADVANTAGE - Can easily be accommodated in a mixer tap fitting, does not get calcified, and does not cause pressure rises in tank.
