The data stream, reapplied to the processing for data compression, consists of the differential data stream, the data sign prior to the absolute value formation, and the vector number generated by the vector quantiser. USE/ADVANTAGE - For audio, video and other signals, e.g. in video telephone, with more effective use of redundancy.
