Cooling device for a laboratory rotary evaporator, has a coolant liquid circulated spiral element in an evacuable glass flask which is connected, by an adaptor piece, with a rotary evaporation flask and a condensate receiver. The novelty is that the coolant liquid is introduced into the spiral cooling element (2) by capillary injection. Pref. the cooling spiral (2) is preferably connected by flow and return line (6, 7) with a refrigeration compressor (8). Preferred refrigerant is R 134. USE - Low temperature operation for vacuum distillation.
