At least one wall of the cover layer (14) is fitted with a sound absorbing layer, or plates (21). The sound absorbing layer or plates pref. cover the rear side of the cover layer. Between the sound absorbing layer, or plates, and facing wall section (23) of the support layer (12) may be an air gap to form a cavity (25) between the support and cover layers. The cover layer typically consists of joined individual bricks (17). The brick rear wall (22) may be fitted with sound absorbing plate, mat, web etc. USE/ADVANTAGE - For building on noise insulating walls, with simple structure and mfr. for effective noise insulation.
