The proximal end of the tube extension (40) is closed by a wall (46) with at least 2 openings (50,51) for which seals for shafts of operating instruments of reduced dia. are provided. The covering cap (30) for fixture to the attachment (10) has sprung arresting hooks (54), the free ends of which are provided with projections (56) for engagement in recesses (24,26) of the attachment (10). The wall (46) is pref. made of elastic plastic or silicone rubber and the edges of the openings (50,51) act as sealing surfaces. Between the openings, the wall is reinforced by a stabilising part (52). USE/ADVANTAGE- Used as a redn. piece for a trocar casing in surgical practice.
