The blind winds onto a shaft in a housing, and works in guide rails below the skylight. The latter hinges in a frame, in turn mounted in a casing incorporated in the roof structure, which has a lining on the indoor side. The housing (1) is mounted in the heat-insulated roof structure (34), and above the gap formed between the bottom edge of the casing (28) and the top edge of the indoor lining (29). The guide rails (10) for the blind (17) can be in this gap, and both they and the housing can be heavily heat-insulated. The housing can comprise a cover locking into engagement with a baseplate and side brackets secured to the latter. The blind can work in grooves in the rails which contain sealing brushes. USE/ADVANTAGE - The skylight blind provides shading and excludes insects with skylight open.
