The machine has its conductor bars inserted in slots in the laminations packets and insulated relative to the latter and relative to one another. The blank ends (22) of the conductor bars projecting from the end face of the laminations packet are coupled together to form the winding head. The blank ends (22) of the conductor bars and the associated coupling conductors (20) are provided with a fibre reinforced insulating mantle (10), which is pref. impregnated with a plastics resin. ADVANTAGE - Reduced mfg. and functional testing times.
