In the position-resolving area/sensor video camera, a semiconducting CCD circuit is uniformly filled with electrons in phase 1. The electrons can then become differently distributed under the influence of the electric fields to be detected during phase 2. This distribution is maintained during phase 3 and is measured. A pyroelectric film on the surface of the CCD circuit causes an electric field distribution corresp. to the local distribution of heat or heat generating radiation which can be measured by the sensor. The results are displayed using holograms, IR imaging, or ultrasound imaging. USE - For determining positional distribution of electric field.
