Thermal disposal of hazardous waste - esp. medical, laundry and chemcial cleaning waste, using pyrolysis combustion furnace

In the thermal disposal of hazardoud waste from medical establishments, pharmacies and old people's homes and of waste produces from laundries and chemical cleaning, using a pyrolysis combustion furnace, the novelty is that (a) the waste gases are used for steam generation, then fed to a compact wet scrubber for cooling and HCl sepn. and subsequently reheated with the generated saturated steam before passing to a filter-separator for dry sepn. and to an active coke filter for noxious gas cleaning; (b) residues are filtered off from laundry waste water; (c) the residues from chemical cleaning are fed as dried percholoroethylene sludge to the pyrolysis combustion process; and (d) the HCl-contg. waste water is also subjected to thermal disposal. ADVANTAGE - The process combines thermal disposal of infectious and harmful waste with environment-friendly operation of laundries and chemical cleaning and meets strict pollution control requirements.
