The electrical switch device has a contact arrangement with a fixed and a moving contact piece (12, 14, 18). The moving contact is formed as a contact see-saw (16) which can be swivelled between two end positions, comprising a contact lever (19) and a switch lever (20). The switch lever is engaged with a revolving operating element (28). The revolving element rotates for operation. On operation the switch lever tilts from a first end position to a second end position cutting a plane running perpendicular to the assembly face. The switch lever is perpendicular to the contact lever. ADVANTAGE - Allows all switch and pushbutton variants with low structural depth and small number of parts to be automatically fabricated.
