The invention starts from a pilot-controlled pressure-relief valve with a pilot-control piston and a main piston with which a cross-section of flow between a system connection and a tank connection can be varied and which, apart from being acted upon by a spring element, can be acted upon in the closing direction by a pressure which prevails in a rear control space and can be influenced by the pilot-control valve, the control space being connected to the pilot-control valve and via a first nozzle arranged in a control line to the system connection. In order to avoid cavitation erosion and associated wear at the main piston and at the valve seat interacting with the main piston, provision is made for the control line to lead into the system connection in several second nozzles which are connected in series with the first nozzle and in parallel with one another and the total cross-section of which is greater than the cross-section of the first nozzle.
