Primary measure for reducing pollutants in flue gases from a combustion plant

To improve combustion when solid fuels are used, the combustion gases are admixed in the furnace, via water-cooled air lances which are arranged in various planes of the furnace downstream behind one another at right angles to the flue gas flow, with air, recirculated flue gas or oxygen at high temperatures, systematically in low-oxygen regions, in a very wide variety of directions with respect to the flue gas.
