(A) In waste disposal by carbonisation, combustion of the carbonisation gas (SG) and sepn. of the carbonisatin residue (SR) into coarse (GR) and fine (FR) fractions, the novelty is that the fine fraction (FR) is gasified to give a molten slage (S) and synthesis gas (SY) which is then combusted, pref. together with the carbonisation gas (SG). (B) Equipment for carrying out the process is also claimed. ADVANTAGE - The process is less expensive than the process of EP-302310, since only a small combustion chamber capacity is required, and produces less flue gas which requires cleaning.
