The holder (1) comprises a hollow rail (4) made of special steel. Clip bands (37) are fixed on the hollow rail (4) with the aid of continuous joint bars (39) which are mounted at one end (15) in a plastic stopper (45) and, at the other end (11) in an insert piece (23) made of plastic. The plastic stopper (45) and the insert piece (23) are fixed on the hollow rail (4). A bracket (12) serves to fix the fitting head (3) of the gas cylinder (2). The bracket (12) is fixed on the hollow rail (4) in that nuts are fixed in the insert piece (23) before it is inserted and threaded bolts (25) are then screwed into the nuts from the outside when the bracket (12) has been fitted on. A threaded nozzle (35) which is likewise to be fixed on the insert piece (23) serves to receive a threaded cap of the fitting head (3). IMAGE
