The compressor has a pressure side and a suction side and from the compressor pressure side a conduit is guided in a chamber in the turbine housing separate from the spirally shaped flow channel. From the chamber a connecting conduit issues, which is connected to the inflow side (8) of the turbine (3) and the flow connection between the pressure side (14) of the compressor (4) and the inflow side (8) of the turbine (3) is regulatable with a part of the variable guide blade crown (11). At least one part of the chamber is a constituent of the variable guide blade crown (11). With an axially displaceable, variable guide blade crown (11) the chamber is ring-shaped and an opening of the hole issuing in the chamber is displaced to a mouth of the connecting conduit leading from the chamber to the inflow side (8) of the turbine (3). USE/ADVANTAGE - Exhaust gas turbocharger which is simple and cost-favourable to produce, with which cooling of turbine components is possible using charging air.
