Ball-jointed pivot head, esp. for percussion instruments - is based on ball sub-divided into four sectors cooperating to define central channel in which rods or arms are clamped
Ball-jointed pivot head, esp. for percussion instruments - is based on ball sub-divided into four sectors cooperating to define central channel in which rods or arms are clamped
In the ball-jointed pivot head, the ball (20) is held in two sockets (16,18) between clamping jaws (2,3) which can be activated by a tensioning bolt (7) and nut (8) with a toggle (27). Openings (14,15) are provided for rods or arms connected to the ball. The four sectoral components (20a-20d) of the ball are held together exclusively by the sockets in the clamp so that they define a channel (24) through the centre of the ball with surfaces which form a constraint for each corresp. rod or arm. ADVANTAGE - Adjustment of length of rods or arms can be undertaken in range of ball-joint, allowing adjustment of slope in opposite direction.
