The device(10) with a hook (14) is wrapped in a packaging (20) in a position corresponding to its service use. The packaging (20) has locally a flap (28) giving specific access to the hook (14). The packaging (20) is in corrugated carton or other sheet material which is easily cut out and folded. The flap (28) is pre-cut in the material and is detachable. The process of placing on a support and temporarily protecting the device (10) belonging to an assembly (34) consists of removing the packaging (20) by opening the flap (28) and fixing the hook (14) on the support. ADVANTAGE - Allows protection of device until it is required to be installed.
